I just made my first apple pie and it was so amazing.
I’ve made this pie every day since I started baking and I just adore it.
I made a few tweaks to the recipe so it’s not exactly the same, but it still tastes great.
This recipe is for applesaucy cake, a traditional apple pie made in the oven and served with apple pie filling and sugar.
Apple Pie with Apple Pie Filling Ingredients: 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, melted 1 cup (225 grams) all-purpose flour 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup (140 grams) fresh applesauces 2 cups (500 grams) sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, plus more to taste Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8-inch (20-cm) pie pan with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together on medium speed for 10 minutes.
Add applesauciy cake ingredients and mix well.
Scrape down sides of bowl and beat again.
Add cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, apple cider and vanilla.
Add eggs, one at a time, and mix until well combined.
Add apple pie fill and beat for 1 minute.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for about 15 minutes, or until edges start to set and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool for 5 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.
Cut into wedges.
