Why You Need a New Banana for Your Diet

The banana cake can also be used as a tasty topping for many desserts.
But what about those other ingredients?
A banana cake recipe has a lot of ingredients, and the list of ingredients is always growing.
Here’s what you need to know about some of these ingredients and their different uses.
The Banana Cake Recipe: 1 cup milk (regular, low fat, almond, or coconut) 1 tablespoon cocoa powder 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup honey 2 tablespoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 cups powdered sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Banana Cake Ingredients 1 cup plain flour 1 cup butter, melted 2 cups milk (1/2 gallon, 1 liter) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 1/16 teaspoon cloves 1/6 teaspoon cloves 2 tablespoons sugar (regular) 3/4 teaspoon salt (or more) 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/5 cup granulated sugar (or 1 1/ 2 teaspoons) 1 cup brown sugar (sugar free) 2 tablespoons water 1 cup cake flour or all-distilled white vinegar 1/1 cup milk or all liquid sweetener (such as corn syrup) 1 large egg 1 teaspoon butter Directions Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, honey, baking powder, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
In another medium bowl beat together the butter, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
Add in the dry mixture and mix until well combined.
Add water and flour and mix again.
Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
Mix until a dough forms.
Add egg, and mix for a minute.
Divide dough into 8 equal pieces.
Place each piece on a lightly floured work surface and roll the dough out to an even thickness.
Use a rolling pin to shape each piece into a ball.
Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack.
Remove and let cool on a rack.
The Chocolate Banana Cake: 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 2 tablespoons granulated white vinegar 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 cups confectioners sugar (low fat or sugar free) 1 egg, beaten 1/10 teaspoon salt 3/8 cup milk, 1/7 teaspoon vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon white vinegar Directions Pre-heat oven on 350° F. Line two baking sheets with parchment.
Place one sheet on a light oiled cookie sheet, and bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden brown, and no longer crumbly.
Remove from oven and cool on rack.
Combine the cocoa powder and vinegar in a small bowl.
Add 1 egg and beat until combined.
In the same bowl, combine the sugar and vinegar.
Beat until combined and fluffy.
Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and mix with a rubber spatula until combined, about 3 minutes.
Add 2 tablespoons of milk, and beat for about 10 minutes.
Fold in the egg and vinegar mixture.
Repeat with the remaining 1 tablespoon of milk.
Transfer the dough to a lightly greased cookie sheet and smooth out.
Roll out each piece of dough to aneven thickness.
Place a cookie sheet on the greased baking sheet, place on a cookie cutter, and cut into squares about 2 inches by 2 inches.
Place squares in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes, then cut each square into 6 equal pieces and arrange on the parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Cut each piece in half lengthwise, then roll the edges in a flat motion to seal.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden.
Cool in a wire racks on a sheet of foil for about 1 hour, then remove and let completely cool on the rack.
Vanilla Banana Cake Directions Preheat oven on 325°F in a 350° degree oven.
Line the baking sheet pan with parchment and bake the banana cake for 15 minutes or for the longest amount of time desired.
Cool completely before serving.
Chocolate Banana Cakes: 2 cups cake flour 1 tablespoon sugar (brown sugar) 2 teaspoons butter, softened 1/20 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons milk, melted 1/25 teaspoon vanilla 1/30 teaspoon salt, or more 1 egg 1 tablespoon butter (or oil) 1-2 teaspoons sugar (lower fat or non-sugar) 1 or 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon sugar (whole or low fat) 2 cups all-dissolved chocolate (or any other flavor) 1 1⁄2 cups powdered brown sugar or granulated brown sugar 1 teaspoon or more water 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 2 tablespoons vanilla extract Instructions Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
