Irish footballers set to be unveiled at Galway airport

Galway Airport is preparing to unveil the team of Irish football players who will play in the first ever senior international competition.

The squad of 10 players, which will be unveiled in the morning, will be announced during the Galway International Football Festival on Sunday.

The Galway international football team will play the USA in the 2016 AFC Champions League on Saturday, March 14.

The team of 10 is being named after the first Irish-American to be drafted into the U.S. Army.

The announcement comes as the U-19s and 20s national teams prepare to face the European champions, Juventus, in a UEFA Europa League qualifier on Saturday.
